Worried About Wrinkles? Worry No More!

Wrinkles are the trails made by the experiences and memories of your life. They are the beauty that’s won from wisdom. But, if you want to take a few steps back, there are natural ways to maintain the health and beauty of your skin.

Several supplements that are loaded in flavonoids, including the very powerful anthocyanidin and proanthocyanidin flavonoids, have been shown to reduce wrinkles. Pine bark extract has been shown to improve skin hydration and elasticity. Dark chocolate—yes, it’s loaded in flavonoids—improves skin roughness, elasticity and wrinkles. Green tea can also help.

A new study adds to the evidence that supplements that are overflowing with flavonoids are fountains of youth for your skin.

This time the supplement was fermented blackberry. 102 people between the ages of 35 and 59 who had wrinkles were given either a placebo or 800mg of fermented blackberry for 12 weeks in this double-blind study.

The blackberry had a significant wrinkle reducing effect that the researchers called “remarkable.”

This just published study adds a new anti-wrinkle supplement and supports previous research that suggests the power of flavonoids over and damaged aging skin.
